| Equine Artificial Breeding Services (EABS) is an independent business specializing in equine artificial breeding. EABS was established in 1992 by Miriam Bentley after she completed her training in the USA, specializing in stallion semen freezing. Using the latest technologies available from the USA & Europe, EABS has a proven track record of success with frozen, chilled and fresh semen, resulting in a high degree of positive pregnancies and successful foalings. Our stud, "Lumeah", is a 5,000 acre property located in Mullengandra, deep in the Riverina country of Southern NSW, 23kms south of Holbrook and 45kms north of Albury. Our location on the Hume Highway is ideally located for the distribution of semen, virtually overnight to any major city and most country areas within Australia. This year we have new stallions to introduce to you and of course our previously resident stallions are also returning for breeding this year. We are excited about new leading edge opportunities available to make life easier for mare and stallion owners in Australia and are dedicated to helping you achieve successful breedings in the coming season. | |
Last year's equine influenza outbreak showed us how sensitive and vulnerable our equine industry is to introduced diseases. Being a strict quarantine facility, EABS is well equipped to deal with any such situation and we did not experience any cases of EI in our facility. Artificial insemination is an excellent alternative to live cover as it prevents physical contact between mare and stallion, allowing pregnancy to occur without risk of transferrence of viruses or diseases, as well as being physically safe for both parties. If you have any questions about our procedures or would like a tour of our facilities, please contact us to make arrangements to visit. We would be happy to show you around. Please enjoy browsing our website and start getting excited about which stallion you would like to partner with your mare. We are all looking forward to a busy year as in this time of EI, more mare owners are realizing the benefits of artificial insemination. We at EABS wish you all the best for a successful 2008 breeding season.
